50 YEAR REUNION
ALDRIDGE STATE HIGH SCHOOL
Year 8 Class of 1973
50 Year Reunion
Come celebrate our significant milestone of reaching 50 years since we began
Year 8 at Aldridge State High in 1973.
This will be a great opportunity to reconnect, reminisce and catch-up on the last five decades.

In 1973 Aldridge High School opened the classroom doors for about 340 students,
the majority of students being male as all male students had to attend Aldridge High
unless they attended the Brothers Catholic School.

To help us make this a great reunion we need your help.
If you are in contact with anyone from your Year 8 class please let them know about this reunion.
We are looking for any photos you may have from your early high school years
(not that we carried a camera or phone around with us in those days).
These can be snap shots of you and your classmates on an excursion, playing sport
or just in the school grounds and of course any class photos.
As there were no official class photos taken in Year 8 we are looking for any class photos
you may have. We have managed to find eight of the nine class photos that past students
have provided, which we think were taken by their form teacher at the time.
The class photos we have are displayed in the Photo Gallery section.
If you can identify yourself or anyone else in the photo's please send us an email
with the details of the location and who is in the photo.

We would love for you to share a memory or a short story from your school days
at Aldridge High as we are wanting to create a "Memory Book".
Please forward your memory or short story to us via email.

For accommodation options click on the city Maryborough, Hervey Bay and nearby areas of the region.
Or visit Places to Stay | Visit Fraser Coast
Rediscover Maryborough while you are here, you may be pleasantly surprised. A few fun facts: The first Queenslander to win an Olympic gold swimming medal was Maryborough's David Theile, representing Australia at Melbourne in 1956 and Rome in 1960. He was also the first swimmer to use the tumble turn. More railway engines have been built in Maryborough that any other city in Australia.
